Our Stories

Born and raised in Yemen, Dr. Abdo Al-Dalaim came to the United States as a teenager and joined the New York City public school system, determined to build a future through education and hard work. As a first-generation college graduate and the first in his family to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Long Island University, Dr. Al-Dalaim overcame numerous challenges-often without a support system or mentors to guide him.

Membership
YAPhA welcomes pharmacists, pharmacy students, and pharmacy technicians who identify with or serve the Yemeni-American community.
Members gain access to a supportive network, professional development opportunities, and a shared space to give back through outreach and community initiatives
